Real Life is an independent Christian church dedicated to helping every person possible find real life in Jesus and look more like Him every day. We’re imperfect people doing our best to serve a perfect God and other people. We try to keep things uncomplicated, prioritize people and engage with God and others authentically. If you’d like to know more about what we believe and our vision and values you can find that below.
It keeps us focused on what’s important, but what is it? Well, The Gospel was the foundation of the early church, it was expressed by the Apostles in different ways but included the same things and this is how we define it at Real Life...
Jesus the King died in our place and rose as our defender inviting us into a relationship with the Father where we could live our real lives through the Holy Spirit's power as we daily surrender to Jesus' reign and wait for His return.

Where we can live our real lives - Mark 8:34, John 10:10

Let’s be honest. What we believe means nothing if it’s not also what God intended for us to believe. We want to do our best to interpret and apply the text of the Bible honestly, let it speak for itself, let it shape us (not us, it) and we always want to remember that if we and the Bible disagree, we’re wrong. We also know that a lot of people have a lot of different ideas about the bible so we’ve put a few things here to give you an idea of how we handle Bible ideas.
But just so you know...
Our goal is to do Bible things in Bible ways whenever possible and practical.
-This shapes the way we engage with communion, baptism, corporate worship, Biblical community and leadership.
-Where the Bible speaks directly, we share Truth with grace.
-Where the Bible is silent we seek clarity but not conformity.
-Where the Bible differs from society we submit to God’s authority.
We believe in God. He is, He was and He will always be. He created the heavens and the earth and everything in them. He is known as Father, came as Son and lives in believers as Holy Spirit. He deeply desires a relationship with His creation as seen through His overwhelming grace and mercy in the Scriptures as He constantly pursues humanity. Through His Son He made a way for every person possible to find real life and experience His love even here and now.
Genesis 1:1, Matthew 3:16-17, John 1:1-2, Acts 2:32-33
Jesus, God the Son and our King, came to earth and was born of a virgin by the power of Holy Spirit. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins and rose from the dead to defend us against the accusations of the enemy, Satan. He's still alive and still changing lives today!
Colossians 2:9, Luke 1:30-35, 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, 2 Corinthians 5:21
The Holy Spirit is a comforter, advocate and guide for every born-again believer in Jesus. He actually lives inside of us, His Temple, and does more for us than we can imagine. He'll also do more through us than we can dream. He empowers us to live according Jesus’ Kingdom principles, namely, to love God and loves others. He leads us, loves others through us, lightens our load and intercedes for us before the Father. He is constantly working through all things preparing the way for King Jesus to return.
John 16:8, John 14:16, Acts 2:38, Ephesians 1:13-14
The Bible is the book God wrote for us, through those He chose and inspired. It's true, it's accurate, it's authentic, it's our authority and it's absolutely applicable to our lives today. When we don’t understand it or find it’s words difficult or offensive we must still submit to it because it is the power of God, it is the Word of God for us, as Jesus was the Word of God for those who lived during His ministry. We don’t shape the Bible, it shapes us and shows us how to live according to Jesus’ Kingdom Principles.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
It's a gift.
It's free.
It comes to us through God's grace not from our good deeds.
Jesus' death allows your sins - all of them - to be forgiven, wiped out, canceled, deleted, erased... do we need to go on or do you get the picture?
The gift of salvation is free to receive and while you cannot earn it you will never be able to repay it. It requires our lives, our devotion and our allegiance to King Jesus. And it’s worth it.
John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Colossians 2:6, Acts 2:38
We're not perfect. We've sinned - all of us. We need help. We need Jesus. We also need each other and that's what Church is all about. Followers of Jesus have always been called together. There is an expectation of community in Scripture and while it can be difficult and people often have opposing personalities we are to submit to one another in love for our King, Jesus.
Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Acts 4:12
