For 16 years Real Life Church has had one goal - to help every person possible find real life in Jesus and look more like Him every day. This mission drives what we do and how we do it. We don’t get bogged down in bureaucracy, we prioritize people as we pursue Jesus.
In everything we do we strive to be REAL - authentic people, who recognize our own failures and our need for God’s forgiveness. We strive to be RELEVANT to the culture around us - knowing Jesus wants us to be for the world, not against it. We strive to be RELATIONAL - fostering community around a shared goal, to help every person possible find real life in Jesus and look more like Jesus every day.
The Gospel is not the first 4 books of the New Testament. The Gospel compelled Jesus toward the cross. The Gospel motivated Jesus to overturn the tables in the Temple AND to overturn the status quo and dine with sinners, touch lepers and sit with those in sorrow. The Gospel lays the foundation for our faith and it guides the direction of our lives and our Church. When we’re unsure of what to do, the Gospel is our North Star.
In the Bible a disciple ate with, traveled with and often lived with their teacher. That idea must be a part of what makes a disciple in the Church today. Someone who is striving to look more like Jesus every day because they are constantly spending time with Him - in His Word, in prayer and with other believers.
